Horsley Woodhouse Primary School

It gives us great pleasure to welcome you to Horsley Woodhouse Primary School!

We look forward to working with you to provide the best possible opportunities for your child. We put family first at Horsley Woodhouse Primary School and therefore you will be at the centre of our mission to create an outstanding learning experience for every child in our care.

At Horsley Woodhouse Primary School, we are passionate about ensuring that every step of the journey from EYFS to Year 6 and beyond is exciting, provoking curiosity and a love of learning that will follow our children for the rest of their lives. Through a bespoke curriculum that is challenging and stimulating, our children are nurtured and guided as they develop their confidence, self-esteem, resilience and skills, both in and out of the classroom.

Built in 1913, our modest school building is full of love and character, and stands at the heart of the community. Our school is set in extensive grounds which includes two playgrounds, a playing field and a copse that plays host to Forest Schools. Indoors, we have four classrooms, a library and a scattering of small yet inviting learning spaces. Our hall is used for a range of purposes, including dining, PE and assemblies. Children have access to separate cloak rooms for boys and girls.

We trust that you will feel at home at our school, which is already a vital part of so many lives. We hope it can become a place that provides you with positive experiences and happy memories for both children and adults to cherish in the future.
